The lighting is warm, amber. They are eating cereal out of the box, laughing at a grainy portable TV.

EXT. LAKE - DAWN
A thick mist hangs over the water. Xander looks at Lewis with eyes of a quiet pride.
[ THE BUS BRAKES HISS ]
EXT. STREET - NIGHT
Lewis fumbles for his keys. He drops them. He ultimately decides not to go inside.
EXT. BRIDGE - NIGHT
He watches the cars go by, their headlights forming a continuous, uncaring stream of white light.
